TCA Aircraft Testing Department. Jet/ turboprop/ large prop aircraft test report: Date of Report: Tested by: Philip M. Wafer TCA #2302 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SECTION A: (Original FSFS aircraft details.) a) Aircraft name: TCA Embraer 145 b) Aircraft registration: CN3005TCA c) Aircraft Filename: TCA-EMB.ZIP ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SECTION B: (FS98 only aircraft file details.) a) Aircraft name: b) File name: ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SECTION C: (Criteria Tested) 1) Endurance (range)NM: 1000nm 2) Take-off distance(metres): 1100m Landing distance(metres): 600m 3) Rotation speed (Vr)(KIAS): a) Educated guess: 130 KIAS b) Calculated: 139 KIAS 4) Climb: Best climb speed (KIAS/fpm): 250/3000fpm to 10000 300/1000fpm to 31000 5) Overspeed clacker sounds at(at cruise altitude)Mach number or KIAS: Mach 0.75 6) Behavior under AP(OK/Not OK). a) Speed AP. OK b) Altitude AP. OK c) Heading AP. OK d) NAV1 AP. OK e) Back course AP. OK f) Approach AP. See note 2 g) Autoland N/A 7) Speed @ 80% N1, FL310 (Mach number or KIAS). Mach 0.57 8) % N1 at recommended economic cruise speed: 96% 9) Stall speed (KIAS). a) 100% fuel: Clean 135. Dirty 107 b) 30% fuel: Clean 125. Dirty 100 10) Approach speed at 30% fuel(KIAS): 140 KIAS 11) Turns AP ON - (OK/Not OK): a) Level turns. See Note 1 b) Climbing turns. ditto c) Descending turns. ditto 12) Turns AP OFF - (OK/Not OK): a) Level turns. See Note 1 b) Climbing turns. ditto c) Descending turns. ditto 13) Landing speed(KIAS): a) 30% fuel: 140 KIAS b) 15% fuel: 14) Take-off with some engines out of service: OK. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SECTION D: NOTES/COMMENTS: 1) AP turns greater then 30°, the a/c descends and tries to recover altitude when straightening out but over compenstates. e.g. in a turn of 180° the a/c descends from say 5000 feet to 4500 feet and when straightening out ascends to 5500 feet before coming back down to 5000 feet. You can keep better control in turns by doing it manually. 2) Approach Autopilot hunts the glideslope. 3) On landing, power off just above the runway pitches the a/c up a few degrees. 4) Trim UP 1 notch for safe take-off. 5) Embraer EMB-145 panel by Sergio Reblin Portela, EMB145PN.ZIP acquired at Flightsim.com, was used for the test.
